EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO GET YOUR SESSION STARTED!
I want to book a shoot, but I am so nervous.
Let me assure you – everyone is nervous and it’s absolutely normal! Tension will ease as the session progresses and you will have a great time. After seeing your gorgeous images you will know it was totally worth it! My sessions are very relaxed and I always do my best to make my clients feel at ease. We will have a bit of a chat, a bit of a laugh and a glass of wine if you wish and you won’t even realise when you stopped feeling nervous.
How many sessions do you book in one day?
One and one only. This is your day and I want you to have 100% of my attention. I don’t want to be under pressure of checking the clock all the time or wondering if another client is already waiting. I would like to ask you to do the same. Don’t be on a tight schedule that day. Best things happen when we are “in the flow” and time pressure doesn’t help it. Session will typically start around 10 am. Firstly you will have your hair and make-up done which should take about an hour, shoot itself lasts up to 2 hours. These times are approximate though.
How many outfits will I need?
A: I usually go for 3-4 different looks. With an optional “topless” outfit being one of them. Bear in mind, it’s all done with class and grace in an artsy way! If you cannot make up your mind bring as many outfits as you like and we will narrow the choice down together considering what goes best with your skin tone, body type and the look that you want to achieve.
How far out do you typically book?
I can book anything from sometime next week to as far as 12 months in advance. I always do my best to accommodate your needs. So whether you have made a spontaneous decision and want to have the session asap or you are planning in advance let’s say after the holidays when your skin is tanned and your hair sun kissed. Just simply schedule a call with me we will chose a convenient date.
Where will my Boudoir session take place?
The majority of sessions takes place in my home studio, that has been built especially for that purpose. Some clients would prefer for the session to be done in a hotel, air bnb or their own home. It’s all possible to be arranged but requires more planning and logistics and has to be agreed in advance. You would be responsible for booking and the cost of a chosen location. I can offer word of advice if you wish as I often travel for boudoir sessions.
I have no idea how to pose, will you tell me what to do?
I will absolutely tell you how to pose and where to look. I will actually pose myself first so you see how to do it. I will make sure no body part looks awkward, I will find the best pose to fit your body type and I will even show you photos as we go!
All you have to do is show up and have fun!
Do I need to do my own hair and makeup?
No, you don’t. It’s your day and I want you to feel pampered and well looked after. Forget the idea that you are coming in just for a photo session. Boudoir is an extraordinary experience nourishing your sense of self-worth and boosting your self-esteem. I have a fabulous hair and makeup stylist that works with me on every shoot. Price of hair and makeup service is included in the session fee.
